Nitsa apartments Tilos
'Nitsa apartments' and 'En Plo' restaurant are both small family businesses, which are located at Eristos beach. In fact, this is the longest and most famous beach on the island. In 2000, Manolis Hatzifountas and his wife Dionysia decided to buy the land then began building four apartments. Most of all, it was Manolis' wish to create warm and homely accommodation for visitors to Tilos island. In 2003, their dream grew and the family decided to open a traditional Greek taverna. So, they did just this with the help of their two sons, Aristotelis and Yiorgos. The head chefs there are Manolis and Dionysia and, as a result, they prepare everything using traditional techniques. In addition, most of the ingredients are sourced locally from surrounding fields on the island. Furthermore, you will find stuffed goat is one of the most famous recipes at this restaurant. This is, in fact, a special Tilian variety with prawns. You can also enjoy their traditional drink, Souma, which is delicious and made with figs.
For visitors' convenience, the family opened a mini market next to the restaurant that can cover your everyday needs. After a couple of years in 2007, the family decided to grow the business and they successfully built five more apartments. If you stay at these apartments, you'll really find that you become part of the family.
