Pilates, Body Strength and Spinal Cord Injury.

At this seminar:

-We understand the way we breathe and how we improve our wellness and mood by choosing a different way of breathing.

-Sometimes we are unable to perform certain exercises not because of lack of physical strength but due to inappropriate breathing. Our breathing will  be the basic tool to increase our mobility and flexibility. We will discover different ways to perform exercises with a view to dealing with spinal cord injuries and strengthening the weak muscles of the area.

Starting with the main exercises of the method, we lay the foundations for creating the body we want.

Whether you are a student or a teacher, follow us in this beautiful transition from the basic principles of the method to performing the exercises according to your needs. Together we will create alternative ways of approaching, executing and correcting movement.

During the seminar you will come across exercises that you may already know, as well as moves that you can see for the first time. You will perform exercises that you might think you can not or should not do. Pilates has hidden treasures discovered after many hours of practice and teaching. These treasures bring us ever closer to the physical and mental well-being we desire.

In this tutorial we are all students. We learn from the new experience, we learn from the teacher we learn from the student. Pilates like everything in life evolves and changes.

Pilates

Pilates is a low-impact but strength-building type of exercise that is suitable for the everyday person of any shape, age or body type. Practicing Pilates regularly can increase strength, improve flexibility, relieve stress and develop a strong healthy posture. You will benefit from the body awareness that Pilates promotes and will be able to utilise Pilates principles in your daily office activities. Our Pilates classes are designed for all levels and capabilities, whether you are new to Pilates or whether you are more advanced so everyone can take part, regardless of experience.

 

Yoga

A typical corporate yoga class will:

  • Stretch out tired and tight muscles
  • Strengthen and tone the whole body
  • Induce calm and relaxation with stress-busting breathing and meditation practices.

Our classes are suitable for all levels of yogis

How it works:

Class’ hours and location can be adjusted depending on the company’s preference. Classes are capped at 15 people. Classes last 60 minutes (30 min or 45 minutes classes are also available). Some companies find that early morning classes is most convenient for their employees, whilst others opt for lunchtime or after work classes.

We can offer classes from 7.30 am to 8.00 pm (duration 1 hour). You do not need to provide your own mat and wear comfortable gym style clothing, no trainers needed.
